THE MARKET IN JUNE 

Sugar prices dipped in early June, only to recover mid-month to the same level seen during most of May. Subsequently, the last 10 days of June saw the raw sugar market lead sugar prices lower. The prompt July/October spread slipped to a small discount, ahead of the July NY expiry, as prompt differentials for Brazil raw sugar cargoes declined on impressive CS Brazil production reports.
